Cheers buddy
Once you have worked it out clint, its pretty easy, at first though, it can be a bit confusing
Im bored with it mush, i need to do something to it to inspire me again, but ive gone pretty much as far as i can with it on my budget, and done everything to it, i planned to when i bought it. id have to go proper mental with it now, like restoring it, then something like dropping an FRS engine in it, which is a very simple conversion, would bolt straight in, but i havnt got the money, and even if i did, with what its worth now, compared to what ive got in it, it would be financial suicide

Loks nice mate, now you know the reason why I sold the 200 estate. Had taken it as far as I could.
Now am getting rid of the Mrs's 200 as well (just waiting for the bloke to collect it) and then start again on her Focus St.

Mate, its not worth nowt, for what id get for it, id struggle to find anything worth while, and id defo not get anything as reliable. the one thing my car has is reliability, it never fails to start, has had all the problem areas sorted, drives perfect, and i would genuinely drive anywhere in it, im that confident in it mechanically, and so should you be, seeing as you have most of the work on it

The Beemer is just awesome I can't see myself going back to a Ford at all. It is just so quiet, economical, full of toys and surprisingly quick.
Had a new exhaust delivered for Clare's Focus today, MOngoose system including downpipe and de-cat. So it doesnt look like it will remain standard for much longer. Shame as it still has two years warranty on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its the every day and family car clint, what id like to do, is get Mrs Fid a little car for her and the kids, then i could use the mondy as and when i felt like it.
As far as MK2 mondeo's go, its one of the better one's left, never seen a welder, nor does it need to, its solid as a rock underneath. top side is starting to show its age though, getting a couple of nasty rust spots thats really will need seeing to soon enough. one on the rear quater, couple on the roof, and the arches are in good shape for MK2 mondeo, but they are starting to go. and especially if it has to go through another harsh winter, thats not going to help the situation.
my mate has his own bodyshop, so i could get it all done for reasonable money, but it comes down to what i said earlier, how much money do i really want to throw at, when its only worth peanuts, ive already spent three times what its worth on it.
it also need the EMG's replacing, which like everything else on a V6 mondeo engine, isnt easy, even though the parts are peanuts, and its not a difficult job on any other car, on a V6 mondeo, its 10 times harder than it should be

LMAO, Exactally. I have a love hate relationship with V6 mondys, i love them, but you get a piss easy job on any other car, and its a nightmare on a V6, thats the hate part.
if it was a 4 pot, id do it myself, its only 6 bolts, but on the rear bank of a V6 mondy, try getting those bolts out, when there like a millimeter from the bulk head
One lad said, its doable, if you undo the engine mounts and jack it up, so you got a bit of movement, but even then, its a cunt of a job. another lad said, if id know before i did it how bad it was, id have dropped the engine, would have been quicker and easier, and another lad said, never again, id rather pay a garage to do it.
its an exhaust manifold gasket ffs, not an engine rebuild, might aswel be an engine rebuild, would take about the same amount of time
