I quite like the ride of a short bike but the brakes drive me crazy i just don't trust them i have adjusted them so many times. With descent brakes it would be a great bike but in it's defense it was only 420 quid.
Definatly gonna upgrade the brakes before i cause myself a mischief!

Na man the cosworth has to be the worst car in the world to get a bike in to!!!! the boot needs to behave its massive but fits fook all in!!
i will be in the trusty mondy!!!
you cant miss it
goes anywhere with usually 4 bikes ont the back

worse car for fitting bike sin was probably my S14a, either had to take the forks off to go in the boot, or cover the back seats and panels in mud

Haven't even bothered trying to fit bikes in my s14a, even my Fiesta is better! Not that I'd want to go far with its shite fuel economy if I could fit them in.

Can anyone recommend any good places to ride for the day? I live north of england and will travel if the place is good. Trying to get about a bit more have some pretty good downhill up here but I want to see some other places.
Was supposed to go out last sunday but there was a torrential downpour so decided to stay in and fit some parts that had been hanging around for ages.
This is how my downhill bike looks now(not for long after this weekend though!)

Yeah I know they came on the bike, Im looking at getting some schwalbe wicked wills or muddy marys. Maxxis are the best tbh but also the most expensive.

Oh sweet didnt relise they were that cheap is that because the high roller 2 has come out now then?
What do i need to be running front and back? Is it 60A on the back? Ive also heard of ppl running a front maxxis on the back in the wrong direction.

Ah ok ive no idea about tyre compounds tbh still running the same set of kendas that have come on my bike. they last forever but dont inspire much confidence in the corners.

60a on the rear is fine if i remember right the high rollers are a pair u have front and rear!!! as 4 running them backwards personally dont see the point!!! they work fine in the correct direction but theirs nothing stopping u trying it see if it makes a difference swapping a tyre round is only a 5min job

Pee Vee, i notice you are local, is there much good around these areas to ride? I ride a Cube hardtail at the mo but want to do a few more trails as i have only been using it on the road for the last year

Yeah Leigh woods is good used to ride there years back and funnily enough i got an invite from a friend who works for Cyclewerx for an open day up there on the 1st April.
thought there might be a bit around bath seeing as it is basically just a collection of hills, want to start just doing a few trails and might move up to something a bit more hardcore once i have got back into it.

i ride both fella the dhs and trails at cannock!!! you really cant compare the dhs at cannock to fod!!!
cannock really struggles as it has no hill to speak of!!! although they are spending money there!!! i would say though is cannock has runs to suit evrey1 from begginer to advance
fods a bit more intense, proper runs
