I love lukes Fiesta .....but seems to be abit pointless seeing as he cant grip till 3rd?! (no offence) :s is there anything else you can do to help prevent wheelspin? (bar 4wd) or have u exhausted all avenues? still a great time regardless!

It needs drag slicks for 1/4mile really.. I was trying to get over 130mph so ran full boost. Pulled a 134mph so we managed one good thing from the day BUT my time suffered for it as full boost in 1,2,3 is a joke.

Couldnt get the launch right so in lower boost mode I couldnt beat my previous 11.7

On track map we have full grip

That was entertaining - its much better now!


This has been on the cards for a while but things keep cropping up.... when the new box arrives its having the speed sensors fitted to enable the gear selectable boost.

S'alright....does look like it's wet.

Mental videos though, because while they are so much faster over the quarter, there is only say 10-12mph difference in the terminal speed when they cross the line...grip IS king though

No doubt...it's more about the interesting/confusing thing about drag racing.

Times are a couple of seconds quicker, which is massive, the grip difference is there to see. But if two mates had cars and you said "my car will be 10mph quicker by the bridge" you'd just think it would be a car length or two in the real world....but the reality shows so much more.

Not sure what your set up is but looking at the top end of the FWD drag scene they seem to be running massive slick drag tyres on the front and skinny bike sized wheels on the rear with slight jacking up at the back on a solid rear set up.

Speaking to someone in the 9's, his key to good times was the car makes really good power off boost then when the boost comes in higher up the rev range it goes nuts but by then he's manged some kind of grip. Its a bit like his power off boost is his launch control lol

with over 500 bhp you really should be getting better times, how come all these fwd vtec turbo civics can pull off 9 sec 1/4 with minimal spin.

get the bloody drag slicks on it for gods sake lol
