Why aye .. I will allocate you a slot as many people wanna join us for the summer Hill season. Snowboarding & Ski-doo'ing in the winter

The Hill closes end of SEP but will be open next year .. Last time I rode Fernie it was $40 a day or $200 for the season.

I find them spot on there only as powerfull as you want them to be. The feel you get from them is unreal.Nice leavers as well plenty of grip on them. Ive not bled them yet but apparantley there just the same as motocross brakes for bleeding. Only negative thing Ive read is they lose braking power in very wet conditions but not had the chance to test that yet. I had avid juicy 3's as standard and the difference is night and day. Very well made as well.

What brakes you running?

What Fox DHX is that? Im looking at getting one of them or a cane creek cant really decide.

How are the boxxers?Do they take a lot of looking after? Im looking at the new marzocchi Evo RC3 ti's but there a lot of cash.

Sorry for all the questions haha.

Im currently running hope mono 6 and m4 on my dh bike and hope m4s on my hardtail, but i have a set f saints for the dh bike but i havet had time to fit them!!!

its a dh5.0 on the rear, a blinding shock really can fault the thing!!! i like the look of the cane cane creek shock and have heard nothing but good reviews but i hade the fox sitting in the garage so thought it would be best to use!!!

The boxxers are spot on the only fork i would consider swapping for is fox 40's but thats cause im a kit perv!!!

the only isse i see with marzocchi forks are they are over weight

it depends how expensive you want to go really hope m4s are cheaper than v2's but your still talking £150-180 a set second hand. I think these are a good bet

Avid juicy 7

or elixir 5 maybe??

quite a few ppl run a v2 on the front and an m4 on the rear seems like its a good combo. I run marzocchi's now weight doesnt bother me but ive never run anything else so nothing to compare with. Heard the marzocchi's are more a fit and forget fork rather than fox's which Ive heard take a lot of looking after to keep the plush.

oh god yer the foxs take some serious work setting up, but they are in a league of their own!!!

i thought my fox 36 was expensive but once fittied you see what you pay for!!! amazing forks

i only payed £200 for the boxxers so it was a no brainer i snapped them up

That said my mate rides with a set of rst high 5s n he says he wouldnt touch the boxxers with a barge pole

Ive been in the market for an MTB for awhile now.
i was going to buy another bianchi road bike but id get bored.

ive decided i want to try mtb but i dont want to buy a ready built bike.

I think im going to buy a on-one 456 carbon frame and go from there.
i wont be going to the alps or nothing, probably as far chicksands but mostly just in epping and hamstead.

what do you think on the frame choice?

cheers Tev, they are doing frame and fork packages for £599 which I dont think is bad.

I will be posting up regarding componant choice, this will be a slow build.

sort of as and when money allows, Ill have £150 a month spare to spend on the build I guess

the bike will be used mainly for XC and abit of freeride when I build upto it.

not sure im brave enough for down hill yet

as said above pinkbike is the place to go. The main thing id say with an XC bike would be the weight try to get it weighing as little as possible because on the big climbs you will benefit from not having to drag a ton of bike along.I started off just wanting to ride cross country with some very mild DH but found myself getting addicted to the DH pretty fast. Now just trying to push myself gradually so I dont end up breaking too many bones haha. Would like to race in the not too distant future.

group sets are expensive but if you wait till end of september when the new 2012 stuf comes out the old stuff drops massively!!!

sething like this will be spot on for your build
