a mate of mine has invited me over, he has been before and also done the
megavalance race.

from what i can make out, you can DH for 30 mins Per run without even pedalling this is one of the easy ones i think he said.

Nice .. Orange

I love Orange so much am sitting with a pair of there socks on

P.S: Ya head Geo looks a little tight for DH ..

Should have crossed the rear lines over below the shock for better routing around the head stock ..

Whats the rear Hub?

i dont really subscribe to this new style of really slack head angles, i prefer to have the front end quite sharp bu then again ive always got the adjustment,

as soon as i rooted the cables throught the rear swing are i realised i had done it wrong but fook puling the cables out again!!!

its a hope pro 2 in gunmetal!!

i have a slight addiction to oranges to this is my hardtail

Nice ... I dont buy into the norm either and like a FR head angle ..

This is the set up on a 224 I built back in 2006 .. Hope Pro 2 150 x 12 on the back ... Cost fortunes Cross over lines .. Seletape the rear Cable to a welding rod ... Feeds them through no problem

Ran this with single crown FOX 36's (Fortunes) And had a front shifter & Cable routed as I sometimes ran a Double Saint Chainset.

im a bit of a kit perv i have a thig for hope i only ride with hope hubs n brakes, although ive just picked up a set of saint brakes to try,

i will have to give the welding rod a go when i service the bike, i need to put the rubber gromits in to stop the swing arm chewing the cables uip

you dont have to spendloads to enjoy riding, a good bike can be had seriously cheap on flea bay especially as people are selling their bikes they bought on the ride to work scheme

I run my shock and forks really light and fast.
damping on shock is on the minimum i can get away with, without it feeling uncontrolled,
forks are the same... but then i am very light and have always liked them that way!

them fox rear shocks have got loads of adjustment on them niiice!

exactly.. my bike is a 2010 big hit, and was Ł899....

i have upgraded the forks, but the originals were single crown versions of the same fork really.. and to be honest, there aint a lot i wouldnt point my bike at!
it certainly does go very well...

Been out on it again today, popped over Cwmcarn with my mate on his Demo 8 (Ł4,500 bike!)
Really reccomend Cwmcarn for a day riding www.cwmdown.co.uk

2 of me on a little hip jump at the lower part of the DH

only pic i got of billy on his Demo8 \/ \/

lol you done the spring calculator on tf tuned?

http://www.tftunedshox.com/info/spring_calculator.aspx

i weigh less than 11 stone lol, but my bike isnt single pivot and only has a 2.5" stroke shock, so a 350 is a very light spring.

i reckon you should try a 400 mate initially things feel way too soft, but ride it for a bit, as long as you aint a clumsy rider, you should feel the benfit!
