Been riding the full sus non stop since buillding it, loads of fun but i missed the fun that can be had on a hard tail!!
So i dusted it off n Popped out over the weeked,
Was riding at chicksands
n came acrross a little drop
Session the drop for a while but then came across this little drop
Not the best pic but im 6ft 4 so you kinda get the idea,
its actually a 8ft drop and 13ft lip to landing
(i look like a fookin muppet)
A quick eye up
Then it was time to give it a go
A propper buzz!!! problem is i now wana go bigger

I'm takin my cameras and ipad, so might be able to put some stuff up here while im out there,..
also took the new bike out for first time at the weekend. VERY odd, dont 'feel' like it works, but it deffo does! matey on the demo8 was gettin left for dust
just cos it works in such a strange way. but its seems very effective and it seems to like flying lol

it normally takes a few rides to get used to bikes but by the sounds of it you have got the set up right if your still not used to it and your flying!!!

Just gonna nip up the 3 separate ski lifts, to approx 9,000ft lol
Ps you can't see it in that pic, but mont blanc is just over in that range too.. Not a lot higher than we start from either. Lol

My favourite 2 runs are the 'cachette' from 2160m
Which is a 3km dh.. That only goes down to 1600m.. But from there,
Get a route marked 'black 8'. Which is a 10km(!) proper rocky and rooty decent all the way back to bourg-st-marice. Now that is brutal. Lol
I'm having the rest of today off cos my hands are so battered. Lol

The track in the Video looks a little open .. Was there any tree lined sections?
Any North Shore style sections?

Hi mate, the lower half of the track is more like that, with 2 tech wood sections.
And if you stay to the left after the first wood section, then you go into the north shore bit where that pic of wall ride was taken... Will try and upload part 2 later lol

I must be getting old as i prefer technical sections .. I like going fast but I dont like bouncing ...
I wasnt gonna bother with the ski-hill this year round but I might just do a few runs now .. Only problem is in NA they have the brake lever round the wrong way End up in traction ..

great thread..
I enjoy going out on the bike, as we are near to Woburn, Dunstable Downs, Heath and Reach...
I see that Chicksands is mentioned... only 20mins away so will have to check it out.
