Ive never had people ask me about the car but it gets plenty of looks when im out and about. I do like the look of the evo8s the most out of all the evos.

Im the same, although these days its usually im quite abrupt with them because im more paranoid they are about to attempt a car jacking than anything else More interested in where their hands are, what they are carrying etc, where their mates are etc than what they are saying.

Cheers Grant, Evo 6 plans are very secret, but involve "adding lightness"! 19s on the Escort seem fine - certainly no rubbing no odd driving characteristics. I'm sure 18s would be a little more ideal, but for me the 19s work perfectly fine, and look the bollocks so I'm happy

I'm probably going to be there in the Escort Pete, but not on track Got too many places to be spending my money so I'm having a sensible few months. A decent day on track inc fuel, entry, pad wear and tyres etc stands me at £300-500 easily. Got too many other things to spend on at the mo! Shame. Hope to see Danny in his new spec car but not talked to him for while so no idea how he's getting on.

HAS to be the car with the most power- the Evo 8 is so much fun to drive, but I do get a nice cheesey grin on my face peddaling around in the Escort - a car of my dreams as a teenager, now finally sat on my drive

Escort is here to stay for a while - I bought it for the summer show season at the very least, but I wonder if I'll have it for 5 years like my old Saph? Who knows.

I get a few people asking about the Evo, mainly at track days after seeing it go. The Escort is very different, and gets people I guess more 30s-40s who just always liked them from their youth.

Oh no, the 8 could easily do with another 100 or so more bhp to make it properly lively It deals with 600 bhp perfectly, but with a smidge more boost it goes like stink and becomes a proper handful - I'd like to get to that power all the time.

All stickers bar a Motorsport Developments one are gone, the badges I'm not sure about.

I had toyed with making my own selective mods on the car, but to be fair I actually love it how it is, so may just concentrate on some minor tlc only

Glad your gonna keep the cossie. I bet it doesnt handle as good as your evo though. Hopefully one day i will have an escos of my own. My saff has been a cracking car over the last 4 years. It starts first time and it just keeps going unlike the first year i had it lol.

Those are some very nice additions Si - at first I had though you would have sold your 590BHP Evo to fund the Escos, but having read your original post, its great to see that you have been able to keep them both, and buy the Evo 6!

Si, I am so glad this is now out in the open and Im sorry for almost ruining your surprise.

The Cossie makes an excellent edition to your fleet of cars, and as James said above he and George spent along time working on it, so we all have good memories of the car. I hope you enjoy as much as George did.
