Default Finally got my first DSLR

Got a Canon 450d with kit lense.

Not allowed it yet as its not my birthday for another 8 days

Doesnt have a bag though. Any good recommendations?

Also i would like to get another lense for it for some more further away photography.

Can anyone suggest a good starter lense.

thanks

Tim

Hi,

I would be looking at a Canon 55 - 250mm as a good starter lens. This gets very good reviews and the performance is really good. It also has Image Stabilisation which can be god send. My wife uses one on her 400d and the pictures are outstanding. Theya re reasonably proced at Ł160 new as well.

That way you can then decide on what other focal lengths you want and wether to go for prime or zoom lens.

Hi mate,

What sort of photography do you want to do?

This would be a great start, the 70-200 is great for portraits, motorsport and wildlife photography

The kit lens will be fine to start of doing landscape photos

The 70-200 is awesome for all kinds of sports, my 70-200 f2.8 Sigma is by far my favorite lens

Got my first practice subject.

My mate wants to pics of his car. So we are going to go for a drive to find a good back drop.

Any advice on getting good shots of static car?
