sounds very cheap that, has one of your pals not got a spare turbo lying around?? you could go back and try it on it? doesnt take long to fit a turbo, am sure the lad who owns the car wont mind you trying that, it will put his mind at ease aswell. just sounds like a cracking car for 4500 to me.

That's what I'd try. If the guy isn't keen on that, then I'd wager he knows it's more serious than a turbo replacement.

i dont mind if it needs a rebuild or just a new turbo as the cars mint not scratch and has had a underside resto done but left him with a offer and said if you accept the offer i will be over in a hour to get it so just waiting really but when i first seen it was fine no smoke nothing boost and oil pressure fine so aint got a clue so just hoping he accept my offer

I don't get why people get so fucking wound up over the whole bought/brought thing!!! It's not difficult to work out what the guy is saying is it?!!

The car looked nice but it would be a gamble to buy it unless you know for sure it's the turbo that is smoking.

When I bought my 3 door it needed a turbo rebuild , after doffing deeper it's now had a refurbed head, over sized pistons new shells and a new oil pump, so can get expensive very quickly!
