Ive always wondered, are the things on the front wheels vented to cool the brakes? as you also see them on snow stages where the brakes arnt getting up to major temps? never really known what theyre for and also NEVER seen a set for sale, id love some!

I have a picture taken on the 1990 RAC of Pentti Airikkala just after he smashed the Saph up, my mates dad was a Doctor marshalling and took the picture. Pentti is stood next to it.

All the escort boys quickly forget that their escort has got its parts coming from the sapphire first !

jimbo, yes u can protect your rim with it aswell if u mount it to the rear of ur pants

Nono mate, they are for 17" wheels. Sapphire (or Sierra, as they were called in the group A era) used 8x17" tarmac wheels !

No more errors was a joke with the spelling/punctuation thread.

Btw, yours is shocking!

I was always told they were to protect the wheels, everyday is a school day!

WrongRS, what's the point of your message then ? There is MAYBE a fantastic shell around, but you won't tell anybody where it is, you won't buy it so it will stay there ? Why don't you buy it ??

Aha okay then I apologize Shame tho if that's a genuine Ford Motorsport shell that's worth some money. Not THAT much but would make a fantastic example if the correct parts are put together on this car !

Would love a set as i think they look great, and would be a real nod to the old rally days. but at £500 i have more important things to spend that on
