Ive no real interest in static car shows TBH, I only bother to do the ford ones that have track action as well normally.

Be a boring world if we all liked the same things I guess but at least trackday cars tend to be safe, unlike a lot of the shite in the VW world that is just wiating for a bump in the road to have them off and into a ditch if they dare to drive them even moderately quickly.

Yeh i dont really go to shows without track or strip action.
Like you say i think its great were not all into the same car scenes as it means there'd be nothing different to look at.

Guess what im trying to say is that im just as exctited when i look at a big power engine bay with loads of trick bits as i am staring at a minimalist smoothed euro bay.
But different strokes for different folks, and i will always choose big power fords over euro stuff

There are some proper cool Dubs though ones that have nice 18" BBS rims wide arched and have something like a VR6, 20VT, R32, R36 motor under the bonnet or a carb'd valver. Love those. My mate has a MK1 Golf on carbs and lairy cam. No ridiculous styling just had the arches done a bit and riding on 16" BBS rims. There's even a dude down my street called Patrick well known in the VAG scene apparently had numerous VR6s and was building a turbo'd VR6 last time I spoke to him and was doing a MK1 Golf VR6 conversion. He built some proper cool cars!

Yeah there are some good ones too that dont follow the scene, a guy I know has a mk2 gold with a supercharged V6 in it, a really nice mk1 gold trackday car and a tasteful R32.

None of thise "scene" shite on any of them
