Show us your driveways
Afternoon ladies and gents,
I'm in need of some inspiration with my own driveway and wanted to see some good examples of well presented driveways. So that I can get an idea of lighting, plants, floor, colours etc.
Post them up . I'll try and dig out a pict of my shabby drive
Thanks

was that at me? laying the pavings wasnt too bad, it was the hardcore and sand first that was hard work that lot including new fence all the way round the back garden and turf etc came to about Ł3000 materials only... cheapest quote i had for just the driveway without the fencing came to Ł5500...

Just a quick note! not sure on the details but I think you need planing now if you are going to block pave or concrete your front gardens, not needed if you are just replacing the existing drive and also not needed if you use the new type of paver's which have larger spacing gaps to aide with drainage, and also OK with gravel
I'm sure someone else in the know will give us the full details

yup thats right,
Needs to have a permeable surface or drainage for rain water.
So if you get your kerb dropped and drive is not following the above then its a no no to the drop kerb.
Since 2008 i think?

This was what it was like when we moved in
Ended up taking most of the wall down to get this out
This is what its like at the moment. Wanted to do it in indian stone but it would have cost twice as much. The retaining (sp) wall needs facing off in stone and some railings put round to finish it off
