Good day to you all.
Just wanted to share a few pic's of my car i recently bought.
It is a Ford Escort F1 edition
The F1 was only sold on the mainland as far as i know and in Holland it had the 115BHP Zetec inside and in Germany it had the RS2000 engine in it.
Hope you enjoy the pic's as i did some little modding to the car.
Replaced the front bumper as the previous owner had Morrete's in the car but removed them so replaced it because of the blinkers in there.
Removed ugly sleeping bag steering wheel as i had trouble with getting a nice position in the car.
Swapped the Lenso S7 17 inch to the real deal and placed Escort Cossie rims on her(love the look of those fat wheels).
Placed a Mongoose exhaust(65mm diameter) with a 100mm endpipe on the car to free some extra ponies as did the induction kit i placed.
Still not ready with her as i have to place the KW coilover set and my RS2000 brakes all arround.
Also need to remove the towingbar as it is making the car look awfull.

i havent heard they used a zetec for the F1??? as far as im aware the 2 versions were the F1 edition and the sauber but both had the full RS2000 engine in them.

The F1 in Germany was called the Sauber or H.H. Frenzen F1 edition.
In Holland they used the 115BHP zetec engine and it ws just called a F1 edition.
I know it wasn't released in England but have been told that a member of FEC has one.

fair enough,never knew they would bother doing that?! seems a bit pointless to be honest if its purely a badge to sell more cars.it wouldnt be the first time ford got some badges made up for a lot of named escort runs to shift cars,this looks like another experiment in this area .
