Porkie's F430 and my Evo at the Ring - HD vid on You Tube
Hey folks, here's an HD video on You Tube of me following Porkie's F430 round the Nurburgring in May:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDwyDvgrNFY
From my point of view the plan was to follow Porkie round and record the frankly amazing sound of his 4.3 V8 which makes a healthy 490 bhp @ 8500 rpm
Sadly my cheapy camcorder mic wasn't very good, so you can't really hear it as well as we could in my car.
As some of you may have read, Porkie had a blow out on the way over, and so was running a good, but mismatched front left hand tyre, causing him understeer issues - you'll see him pointing to it on quite a few right handers. Shame he couldn't give it full beans.
Anyway, highlights for me are the noise on down change at 20-22 seconds and again at 57 seconds, the short drag out of Adenau Forst at 36 secs, the drag uphill out of Adenau at 2:12 onwards where the power difference can be seen, and at 2.58 as well.
Big thanks to Porkie and Maria for waiting at the start for us to catch up with them, sorry the Mic didn't catch the Ferrari music
