i would of thought it has the desired effect, wether you love or hate it you would still take a long look at it which is partly what modifying, colour changes ect are for.

I think it looks quite good and the beauty is if you don't like it in a couple of months its back to normal.

Hi,
I am from brunei (asia) came across your posting.
Would like to know, how did you manage to wrap your front and rear hood with 1 piece carbon?
I did buy the largest size and i am not able to cover 1 piece for front and rear hood.
Can u please let me know what size did u use? Cos the standard is 4feet wide and length i can get up to 50m, which is not able to cover the front hood.
So i am curious on how you did it. Please do let me know. You did a great job on the wrap. so far i have done the top bit + A arm of the car.
Thanks
Jeff

This is just vinyl that looks like carbon fibre? I don't understand why you'd want to do it? Can you get it off in future or will he removal damage the paint?

Whats the aim of doing that, it looks what it is fake. If your happy thats all that matters but dont expect too many others to think it looks good cos it dont.

he did yeah. I suspect he did it to be different, Rod, rather than flogging the same horse for years!

mate looking good not my cup of tea but if you like it thats all that matters mate and by the way do not put any clear coat(laqcuer) on it as i got a small bit of this as i thought i would wrap my wing mirrors and then spary then with clear coat so any way before i did i thought i would try it on a small bit and it does not work at all it just goes black and the carbon effect is no longer there.

i dont like the matt effect on the outside,if you could do it like the black wet look carbon then i think it would look great, keep the matt effect for the interior.
well done for trying it .

God, there's some critical people on here. I take my hat off to Chris for his obvious skill (and patience) doing this. Not many people would be able to do it.

Everyone seems to have missed the point where he said it was a way to practice wrapping cars. And to be honest i'd say he's done a pretty good job.

We use this at work, i too tried lacquering a little piece and its weird how it just goes black isn't it! would be an absolute winner if it stayed clear.
3m need to make gloss effect next.

cfoster - fair play looks like you did a real good job, its not the most easy vinyl to manipulate when wrapping!
