Well they were that much new so I'd hope so !

I can imagine the M3's and 190 would be worth a LOT of money too.

Gone to a collector now to sit in another museum !

yea BUT the exception is these are a different lege of collectors cars, you would spoil them by putting miles on them and i'm all for the "why buy a car to just look at it" argument, i don't think i could bring myself to pay top dollar on a car then ruin it buy taking it on the road regulary, don't get me wrong though i think i'd struggle not to take it out for a cheeky drive now and again, maybe disconnect the speedo drive though

I am quite certain if he can afford to just buy those and put them in a Museum he can afford quite a nice daily driver lol

I totally agree though, they would be ruined if they were now used.

I met John Kennedy the day he bought his RS200 which had only had just turned 1000 miles after he test drove it, i know he paid a fair whack for that can't 100% remember but i though he said is was originally up for Ł90k.

The collection above is amazing and wouldn't mind opening the garage door to that lot

yea if he can afford to buy them i'm sure he could buy examples with more miles on to actually put into use, i'd love to see his hole collection cos by the sounds of it this isn't the only cars he has.

good link though nice to no stuff like this is still 20 odd years on coming to light.

Wow! Awesome thread. Just read the whole post on that BMW forum.

In a way its a shame that these cars are probably never going to get driven, but at least the guy that bought them (all four cars!) does sound like a genuine down to earth enthusiast. Happy to post lots of pics and document the work he does to the cars.
I suppose that as they have not been driven in 20-25 years, it makes sense to keep them as mint museum pieces now.

Speaking of barn finds, this has been all over the internet the last few days. Honda NR750 and RC30. Freshly unpacked, zero mileage on both.

Me neither, Steve reckons that nearly everyone who drives a standard one is bitterly dissapointed though, as they just dont live up to the hype at all. Which makes sense as they are basically just slow and uncomfortable cars with robin reliant build quality in standard form if you think about it by what we are all used to these days.
Still cool though.

I "think" Bonkers has only purchased the lower mileage Red Mm3, not both or any of the others?

As said there is a thread on the RSOC bb.

Someone mentioned that that he took the lot and there is a picture of them all in the back of a truck (I assume) being taken to his.
