Car did the Ford Fair run with no problems and now tucked in the garage for some winter jobs, although there are a couple of track nights coming up at Knockhill so not going to pull it apart just yet

Well the car performed well at Knockhill on Monday night, only thing that let me down were shitty tyres on the back and started to suffer from fuel starvation towards the end but was pulling like a train and surprising a good few cars, especially the M3 that lost it tryin to get past
Rolling road day at Sitech on Sunday for Fast Ford mag then time to pull the car off the road for its winter revamp.

Now off the road to start the winter jobs. Nothing major really but when the engine went in, it was done fairly quickly to get it back on the road so I want to take it out and tidy it all up, maybe get the engine bay painted and the actual engine done too.
Some poly bushes, quickshift and high lift cams on the shopping list too!
Will get some pics up as work goes along.

It made a massive difference to the car but I fitted a 4 branch manifold at the same time - it breathed a lot easier and pulled a lot harder - was better on fuel as well strangely!
Awesome build this! Saw it in Fast Ford's dyno run, superb!!
question bout the first engine, the zetec, does RS1800 ECU makes a lot of difference? Gathering a lot of info bout zetec swap for my mk4 xr3i, any tips very appreciated!
cheers!

RS1800 ecu and inlet etc make a pretty big difference if you can find them. With that set up, my car was very quick, 110% reliable and really good on fuel.

awrite mate, long time no see.hope things are well.
car still going well i hope?
my mate was talking about his old red xr3i that he had and was saying he thought a guy called ross in dunfermline had it and just wondered if it was you? Just he said they guy apparently has or has had loads of escorts and presumed it must be yourself lol
I am sure it was maybe sold as just a shell.
He loved or still does love the car to bits and was just wanting to know what was happening to it these days.

treated the old girl this weekend to a new set of wheels, a four branch, full Scorpion stainless and found the inlet manifold was the crappy SO one so got an HO one on her now, going very well and got a great noise to her now!

Wheels came this colour but not sure to keep them anthracite cos it goes with bumpers etc or do them shiny silver or white? any opinions welcome but i'm very chuffed to actually have a set!

Had various plans for it over winter mate but then we moved house and all got put on hold. Good thing is I now have my own garage so can get cracking on with it
Took it out for a blast last night to clear the cobwebs out, forgot how much fun it is!

Thanks for all the comments
Nearly time to tax and bring her back out again after the winter hibernation. Once again I had plans for over the winter but with moving house, I didn't get very far with them!
Will be doing bits and bobs over the summer but mainly looking forward to having her back on the road and driving her hard...hoping to be at most of the shows this year, and already booked for Ford Fair.
