Valve cover I did for a friend.
I got it a little to hot. But this is just to show the texture better.

You can get a can of it at a local auto parts store.
It is pretty simple. I gave mine 3 heavy coats and used a hair dryer to help it crackle.

whats it like to keep clean though? if you rub it with a cloth for example will it ruin the texture of it? (if that makes sense)

Texture is just as strong as paint. It will not be hurt by rubbing it with a cloth.

Gonna replace all polished stuff i have, so gonna give it a try myself.
Quick question tho, do you wait for the paint dry before applying the heat, or just wait till it goes tacky??

i use the vht crackle paint.it needs 3 coats 15mins apart with each coat in different directions or it will not crackle.i never heat mine just leave it till the next day for it to cure and crackle.as per usual the ford scene is a few years behind what the vw lads are up to.jury is stil out with me though.not sure its just a fad that will be called crap next year
