hey up fella funny you should ask as i popped around yesterday in between jobs.

they are really cracking on with it and he tells me it should be finished back end of next week or very early the following week.
iv had to order a few more bits, passenger rear arch kit/drivers underlight trim/front grill and all required bits to refit kit.

Not sure what to go for, spoke to you about the clio turbo idea, and had a chat with chip and mike about it, all in we think its gonna cost between £8k-£10k. A few peeps on MLR have said buy another evo, the mrs said buy what ever car you'll be happy with but think about expense so I don't have to find money each week to live. Looked at r32 golfs and mk5 golf gti, bmw etc but ill write a pro and cons list and find out more info before I choose, got two years yet lol.

When is the next big show? Japfest, rs central day etc? Like to go to a show this year

This is the 3rd time I've written this lol

Glad he is taking his time on it so finish should be good with little or no issues.

Was expecting pics of it painted ready for you to build it bk up

I'm gonna have to wait till i have the cash in my hand then decide what I get depending in amount of money I have at the time.

Can you tell I'm fed up having to write it all again lol, stupid phone.

Sounds like your busy at mo, have you got all the bits now? What are you gonna do once the car is back together? Find another project to do or continue to develop your r5?

oh yes theres always room for a bit more poke, although it certainly has a tad more since last on the dyno.

over the coming winter ill be stripping the engine down and checking it all over, will probably fit new pistons/liners etc as it will be getting alot of abuse once i get it back.

then gotta fit and map the nodiz mappable ignition and im looking into getting another cylinder head and sending it to cnc heads to have them work there magic and also fit enlarged valves.

Sounds good to me, look forward to seeing a vid of it in action, drive by, static etc, no pressure lol.

The one thing I miss and everyone says once you have had turbo power you'll always want turbo power lol. What to you think to focus st's? Scc performance are about 600 yards from my place and they kind of know me from the evo I had.

of course mate should be able get a few decent vids.

i think they are one of the best buys out there atm, alot of car for the money and limitless tuning options, defo worth considering. They can also be made look really nice with a few subtle mods

A 5dr mk2 st sounds like a option then, might have to do some research lol.

I think I have a mag somewhere with a 340bhp r5 turbo using the 1.4 engine and carb, bet that is nuts.

so i received the last little bits from gt turbo spares on friday and popped up to paintshop to drop them off, still no more had been done on my car so im not too confident of it being ready for cpop on the 15th this month.

that car must of been running quite a bit of nos thats for sure.

That's annoying, you never know they might get it done it.

Looked at my mags yesterday and it was in performance French cars mag, it's a red r5 actually it's running 440bhp on a gt30 turbo

i went up to see if any progress had been made on my car and a bit had been done, he tells me it will be in primer on saturday, so iv now resigned myself to the fact that my car wont be ready in time for pageant of power next weekend .
Even is the paint is finished at some point next week its still got to be m.o.t'd and taxed plus need to fine tune the fuelling all of which i will have no time to do due to being at work, ideally it needed be ready for at the latest this weekend so i could of sorted all of the above

That's shite you were looking forward to that as well. Do they still have loads of other work in to finish? You never know he might get it painted early next week and by some luck you'll be able to m.o.t and tax it and get the fuelling sorted, but like you said your busy and trying to fit it in in a few days will be lucky.

the painter tells me it should be in primer on saturday and has told me to go up and see for myself, hopefully it will be. Iv also sorted a way of getting my car for mot if my car is finished at some point next week, so who knows we could still make pageant of power in the yesmobile
