i did a little bit mre than spray the bay, i wielded and smooth out all the holes in the inner wings leaving the bay to look like this

That dont look to bad tbh mate, Cover it in jenolite then wire wheel it, then paint and cover with waxoil. My 3 door one was mint when i took the battery off, but i still covered it in waxoil just to be safe

that looks stunning, top work and well diffrent, i want to get my engine bay re sprayed but i wouldn't no where to start puttin it all back together

yes i agree, i got mates who do no them pretty well, but i have learned so much more on here.

i have already taken most the engine out as im doing work on it, and its now i can see the dull paint and rust spots (im well fussy with this car i want it perfect lol)
i'll prob go for it and like u and boothy say jus take loads of pics and if need any advice ask on here

just take your time!
oh and what ever you think its going to cost tripple it
eg moonstone paint is £53 a ltr

All the prep work (fillin and sandin) was done by me then the paintin was done in my garage by rich (xr4x4rs) with a little bit of time body effort its amazin the results you can get. Its proper time consumin though.
Worth it in the end, i would hate to think how much it would have cost having it done by a body shop.

i dont want to weld up all the holes apart from 3 on each on suspension turret where a strut brace was.
i would want to do as much as i can myself that way its a much better feeling.

The whole car or the bay???
i think the whole car was stripped in under a week
the bays a pain in the ass as theres quite a lot of crap to take out of it, but you could have it done in a day if the engines alreedy out
he wuld love to paint it for you only problem is he now only paints in gloss black

i think i better get some quots first before i take it all apart!!
the bottom ends in there at mo but thats comin out any way as gunna strip it and rebuild it
