this sat there for over a year, been moved a couple of times recently though. No of a few people who knocked on the door about it but they wouldnt sell it.
i found this been there 10 years, guy who has it is an old mechanic, story is,woman owned it from new and had a little shop in the village, she used to use it for deliveries and even put it to sleep for a couple of months a year to go on a cruise, she used to take it to this guy for repairs and mot work, one day someone in a corsa went into the front wing and she took it to him to asess the damage but whilst waiting for the insurance company to sort things out the old lady passed away, she was in her eighties when she died, the insurance company contacted the mechanic and he told them she had passed away,he told them he wanted paying for storage for the time it had been there so they offered him the car, he parked it up where you see it now 10 years ago, it was in mint condition with 24,000 miles on the clock.
well i did a check on the reg and saw it was last on the road 10 years ago, i told the guy when i went and asked about it and he said has it been there that long and it made him laugh, i said do you want to sell it, he said not yet, i said why, he said i will see how this year goes, i said what do you mean and he said i'll just see how it goes, in other words,i know i will never do anything with it but i don't want to let someone else have it,well thats what i think anyway, he said he has had all the parts in the garage for years to fix it but never got round to it, he said it isnt just panel damage,it has bent the front end and pushed the suspension over or something, not sure what he means but he wont sell, not yet anyway, he said don't worry,it wont just dissapear, daft really cos the vans are quite rare now, would be good if someone could restore it.
To be honest i wish i had never spotted it. I walk past it nearly every day now too.

Mad to see a brooklands in a scrap yard! Glad it got saved though. They were known to rust bad due to the shells being stored outside for months at the end of capri production while ford got round to building them.
found this today looks pretty good nick but is sitting with a few flat tyres and a spare leather interior inside it.

The youth this wasn't somewhere near torevieja was it, i saw one that looked very similar about 5 years agfo. I inquired about it but it was not for sale.
The police had confiscated it for legal reasons and they all just sit there too rot.
Just a huge police compound was the first time i noticed mk4s were fitted with green tint opening rear quarters in europe.

Its in carluke, its not for sale as the guy is going to be spending a bit of cash on it to get it up to scratch rust repair and full paint job.Its only done 80k and had one owner.
Its very solid apart from a few small scabs.
