27th sept we went Hendesford for the big one,the pre 68 classic bangers.
As usual there is cars going round that are far too good to destroy yet the cost of a resto makes it uneconomical to do so and they get raced before the big scrayard in the sky.

and heres a video from the day,there was some very big hits and when the v8 Mercury Monterey smacked head on into the Jag 420 g it was goodnight Vienna and the Fat lady started Singing

yep all them cars went round racing,some people removed a few trinkets as the cars do a parade lap and get judged for car of the day,its a awesome sight seeing 14 blokes leaning out of and standing on a rolls royce or a daimler hearse.
gets you right in the mood.

and yes i couldn't beleive them oz super t's were on that old singer,after 2 heats i noticed one was missing so it may of been smashed. i even went and had a look at them before the racing started and 3 were minters and one had ever so slight scuffs but no big rash. shame really but well spotted lol. they were 15 inchers btw.

we did the car show parade lap round the track as we went in my mates 66 mk3 ford zodiac.
