think there was a road going rs2000 with the kit fitted in fast ford back in the late 90s had Rondells i think. looked the nuts

Propper maxi? there both maxi's!

I have a seller now for the Wide Arch Kits and have had the opertunity to buy the kit several times over now but have chosen not out of now personal preferance. to begin with I wanted F1 but my taiste changed.

Just out of interests, the earlier maxi - are the rear arches escort cosworth ones? They look very similar?

How does the quater not stick up past the bootlid like on an escos? Do you blend into the top of the standard escort quarter?

dont use the quater all the way up to the boot mate chop it at the swage line or just above and mate to original wing

I have a few links illsend you mate but also

theres a lad names mattman on feoc whos built a F1 spec bodied RS2K and he states he'll sell all 4 corners and 2 skirts for Ł450 iirc

I replied to him saying if hes not chatting shit I'll order a set there and then - he didnt reply, he chats a lot of shit that lad.

surprised at guy woodcock tbh you would think he wouldnt give a shit about supplying some arches.

was there not three versions of the car the first one called the escort f2 rs2000 then the escort kit car and then the last version the maxi the wide arched model which got the maxi tag to keep with the 306 maxi the ibiza maxi and the megane maxi which was rallied in 96 the kit car version would have been debuted in 95

There not Esc Cos wings fella as the ones on the car pictured are wider on the front and also designed for the Mk6 lights.

The previous Larger type wings were made on the off chance, when a pair of mk2 wings were taped onto the maxi and then an ESC COS WRC front bumper was offered up to it. This was then given to a guy who made them from sheet steel by rolling and stretching it.

Info direct from the guys who built them.

there is no differance in design between the mk5 and mk6 lights on the wing.

The only differance between mk5 and mk6 wings is the repeater holes.

I saw the car pictured above the other day, and those wings look a bit different to Cosworth ones to me, especially the fronts. Unless the Cosworth rally cars used slightly different wings?

Anyway, as far as I know...

You had the Grp. A cars which were standard bodied MK5b RS2000s, the F2 kit cat, which is like the one above with Cosworth style arches, and then the Maxi, which used the MK2 Escort inspired arches.

Suspension changed quite a lot between each car too, especially the rear end. Engine spec also got wilder as well.

Finding information seems pretty hard though, as there were so few of them.

Does anyone know if the white shell sold? I really wanted it, but I'm not rich enough

MK5s also have a little hook on the inside for the indicators/side lights to clip to

Doesn't matter on F2 cars though, as the indicators/side lights tended to be screwed to the headlamp casings

Yes it is sold, I bought it

I am so happy getting this one because it is fords Press Car wich was completely homologated for Rally Spec.

Great car and never used on racetrack...the shell is like new!!! Never seen streets until now

Bought the headlamps and the gearbox, too.

Engine will be a 2,3l with forged pistons and H-beam Conrods, Maxi head and cams. DTA ECU and GroupA clutch.

This car will look like completely original! But with a more powerful engine inside

I had a phonecall to Ford Motorsport here in germany as I have a couple of friends there and they collect all prospects and information for me.


And the best thing this will be road legal

Will look like this again
