hi all, it has the same cover as the 4x4 version, because when we checked with ford, they said that is is one of the latest that where build. if you all want more pictures of it i have alot more!

There was a thread around a few years back about a guy who had an unused 500 motor on a crate in his office as a display peice. im sure it ended up on ebay iirc.

I saw 5 of these all lined up at BBR a good few years ago. They were put together after the 500 road car engines were made hence the 4x4 cam cover and solid rather than rubber vac lines and their YBD engine numbers tend to be in the range of 520 to 660 odd. They were intended for competition use as the race cars were built from parts. I could have had as many as I wanted for I think it was 5k each but when they come up for sale now they are usually 7k plus.
Eggenberger have one on display in there shop and a few more out the back, a 500 owner ( roop/wireless) posted some pics up of them last year
I should have bought one when I had the chance
all long gone now at BBR
