Hilmersson is one of the more celebrated amateur car builders here in sweden at the moment. Having built practically every little detail on this car by himself, as it should be naturally for any hardcore enthusiast.
The car uses a combination of supercharging and turbocharging on an old volvo b23-engine, in combination with a pretty evil chassis. This renders a pretty evil allround car, quick straight ahead as well as in cornering...

The whine is due to the choice of supercharger on this car, its a rooter-type supercharger. A similar setup as that of the lancia delta s4's when it boiled down to that in the good old days. These kind of superchargers are pretty inefficient though, rendering lots of heat and not giving exactly all the bang the noise gives as clue...

Why he would use supercharger and turbo? Thats an easy question. To get boost from the bottom of the rev-range. Period

Honestly, the sound alone is worth the effort of fitting a turbo n supercharger, they sound unbelivable, that car sounds even better than the Delta S4, and that WAS my favourite sounding car before this one 
How fast does it go and sound! WOW
