TWO new cars..both from the same place. Both currently a long way off ready for the road, but undergoing some transformations. More pics hopefully on their way.

I do checks via https://www.rac.co.uk/web/vehiclechecks/status_checks/
and if it comes back Escort RST then it's as genuine as I'm going to be able ot tell. If you put in a replica reg (C650 WFX for example) it comes back as an Escort Base 1600: but looks like this:
Without checking all of the chassis numbers there's no way of telling if it's 100% genuine, but that's never going to happen so this is as far as it can go unless someone tells me otherwise. Unless it's an RSOC car as these are supposedly checked for genuinity as you have to send off chassis numbers, etc when you join. (Altho there is one car that isn't a gen S1 with full membership )
There was one that was considered to be genuine, but it appeared on ebay saying it had been re-shelled by a previous owner, so it got moved into the replicas as it wasn't a gen S1 shell used (even though it was on gen S1 id )
I don't know if Andy is doing the same thing with the S2 data tho.

Today I have also been sent a photo of a car from 1987 at Lowther Park of a previously unknown D plate (sat next to a 16i) which has been untaxed since June 1995 - so may not be around anymore - HUM.
There's also 3 more I already have to check and upload - so potentially 4 more new pics of cars to add above (Check now done. One was manufactured in 87, so left that out as it seems that is prob a mk4 rep).

D720 FHX (the wide arch one) is parked up in a recovery pound down the road from me, dosent look pretty covered in bird shit the body kit was cracked and it looked like it hadnt moved for years,asked one of the guys if it was for sale and was told it belonged to the boss and it was his pride and joy and he wanted to restore it
