New pics of my 50K mile Sierra Cosworth
Took these a few weeks ago, so decided to post them up along with an updated spec list. Thought it was best to start a new thread as the old one was a bit cluttered.
Engine
Lightened and balanced bottom end
Low compression pistons
T3/4 hybrid turbo with a .63 housing
Genuine RS 500 inlet manifold running 8 x 803 bosch injectors
Genuine RS 500 intercooler
Genuine RS 500 boost pipes
Collins Bespoke exhaust
Vibratechnic engine mounts
Graham Goode Racing Header tank
Graham Goode Racing Swirl Pot
Graham Goode Racing Power Steering Tank
Collins Engine Breather
Spec R Turbo Heatsheild
Mocal 80 Degrees C oil cooler thermostat
Setrab oil cooler
Grp A coil
Roose Coolant and Ancilary hoses
Goodridge Braided water lines
Grp A cone filter
Pectel Super 8 Ecu with air injector and boost control
Brakes
Front - Tarox 6 pots with 305mm discs, ferodo DS2500 pads, braided lines
Rear - Standard rears with Mintex pads
Wheels
Usually 7"x17" OZ Super T's but i still have Mark RS' 7.5"x17" Compomotives on.
Suspension
Front - Koni shocks and springs
Fully polybushed
Grp A strut brace
Rear - Spax coilovers
Collins beam tightening kit
Uprated rear diff hanger
Transmission
AP racing 4 paddle clutch
Grp A adjustable cable
Reyland front diff plate
Body
Standard Moonstone Blue Cosworth
Interior
Standard Ford Leather
Autometer oil pressure/oil temp/boost gauges
Plans for next year are firstly a BARA box and maybe a thickwall front diff. Then i want to get a few other bits and bobs sorted - like proper air injectors, braid the fuel lines, aeromotive FPR. Then once everything is ready i think i'll be going for an SCS engine on Pectel. I've not decided exactly how far to go, but i know the bottom end will have 10 long studs and most likely be linered and have modified oil jets...

This is true
I'm trying to avoid a bufty underside resto
Think i'll do the same that Steven did on his escort, clean it all up, use the 3M bag sealer stuff and perhaps get it done moonstone underneath rather than black like his. Then again, that may be too bufty for a car thats gets driven?
