This is my latest edit, a montage to my beautifull Fell/Lakeland Cross that was put to sleep last week. She had liver cancer, was taken in when she stopped eating her food a week before, then a week later she was gone, I was devastated!
Anyway, here she is in all her glory, we will have another once things have calmed down, she can't be replaced but the next one will offer just as much love and fun as she did

Cheers, you're right about the eyes. They were alot darker to start with, i've already lightened them as much as i dare to bring the colour out. I could have done with using a little fill flash as the eye sockets had deep shadows.
Cheers,
Matt.

Got my 12-24mm a few weeks ago so thought id take my camera into work today and get a few quick snaps to try it out after work. Wondering about I was gutted I didnt have my tripod with me!
Definitely got to back soon to get some proper shots. These are straight off the camera might have a play around with them at some pointthough.

This is the ring i had custom made from scratch for my now Fiance Claire.
Lighting for these shots was from my single SB-900 flash, mounted on camera and angled at 45degrees. I diffused it with my bare lastolite reflector compensating the flash by +2ev. The setting was the white cover for the reflector.
Matt.

Sarah: Great photos! What is it? Looks like a bridge that goes nowhere? Maybe a crane?
I took some today (will get them up in the morning) in the snow/grey weather, and they seem to be really grey and flat looking, I was wondering what I can do to try to get better pictures in snowy/drizzly/grey weather?
StephenC: incredible shot! love it!

Heres a couple from yesterday.
I think this is the best of a bad bunch really
The rest were more like this
Just dank looking. I tried slowing the shutter down (I only adjust that at the moment to keep it simple) and it just overexposed.
Without resorting to photoshop what do you guys recommend I try when the weather is overcast to get better pictures?

WHF in Kent. (www.whf.org.uk)
Just down the road from me and seeing as I am a patron means I can go down whenever I want.
Brilliant place for some big cat pictures as you go right up to the enclosure with only one fence between you and the, and in some cases actually into the enclosure with the cats!!!!!
