Sweep, sorry lol

nope and yes, its adjusts the overall sweep as you loosen it. The tighter, the less low end you get. Dunlop are losing the plot at the moment. Try the Ernie Ball wah, fucking beautiful sounding

Also the Morley Bad Horsie wahs are fantastic

I really like it. The standard amp distortion is rubbish, and just wasnt cutting it (to dry and "mid" sounding) so I plugged this in and instantly got so much more POWER out of the little 30w amp! It also gives is so much more in the low end, and the best bit is it has a "scoop" EQ knob on it - an I loves me a bit of scooped EQ! Big fat 80's Metallica sound The Explorer, with it's EMG 81 and 60 pups, sounds IMMENSE through it! Just a shame I haven't a bigger cab, as the little 10" driver just isn't cutting it! I need at least a 12, preferaly two!

a few recent pics of my babies...

i got a few more pedals for my board, only one spot to fill now, just waiting on a keely modded tube screamer to come up at handy money..

..and i bought this last xmas, i had one years ago when i first started playing and loved the sound out of it. 1980's Carlsbro Cobra 90 twin. amazing condition but the joints had all dried up as it hadn't been played in years so i got all the pots cleaned out and the whole circuit blanket soldered, its playes like its brand new now. couldnt believe i got it for £40..

A Boss junkie hehe

Love Boss Pedals but have sold all my gear in favour of a Fractal Audio Axe FX Ultra. So no more Mesa/Pedals. Just one Midi device with all my presets and the Axe FX and Music Man JP6/JP7

I'm using a SLA-2 Power Amp until they get the powered cabinets in stock again.

Have a listen to the AXE FX with the Powered Cabinets

I've got a simpler set up now. Using a Axe FX Ultra with a Midi Switcher and Expression pedals and ESP Guitars. Digital is kicking Tube Amp ass!!!

Don't even bother comparing it to that shite Line6 stuff!!! Axe Fx is in a different league. Perfect for home/recording guitarists.

Mate, I am ever so slightly jealous!! I'd love both of those guitars, and that JCM800 is just sexy as fuck!

Saving for a tele at the moment, been as Les Paul man all my life, but itching for some of the lush Fender tones now!

Here's what I'm currently using (sorry about the crappy phone photos!) :

'98 Epiphone Les Paul Spc. Edt, with Gibson m/head, jack, and toggle switch. New pickups on the way

2005 PRS Santana SE (no photo's as my mate has it on loan)

Takamine G-Series Electric Acoustic

My pedal board

Marshall TSL601 60watt

Stacked with these

Depends how much you want to spend, and also what kind of tone/sound you're looking for. If you've not got much experience with electrics, you maybe don't know this yet though?

You can get a Fender Squier Strat for about £90, and small practise amp for about £50. That's what I started with, and used for about 3-4 years (but I was learning guitar at this point as well).

Sounds like you've already got an acoustic, so it's not like you're just learning the gutiar from scratch, so you might want to spend a wee bit more.

There are a few Epiphone guitars available for around £250-£300 that my mate who teaches guitar really praises.

Obviously if you're going for a better quality guitar, you'd be better spending a wee bit more on an amp as well. You can get a decent sounding 30watt solid state amp for about £200. This would be loud enough for playing some small gigs too!

Hope this helps.

The problem with the Line6 is frequency response. Using it Live over drums and bass, the sound is so thin that it disappears. It doesn't have the processing power to create the frequency needed to cut through.

The Axe FX is £1800 but worth every penny. Even people like John Petrucci, Steve Vai and Devin Townsend are using them now. Once you play one, Line6 looks like a toy, i promise you
