Hi all
i have been trying to establish the "correct" head unit and cd unit i need for my car.
its a 1993 big turbo with lux pack.
i have found it very difficult to determin which items i need. and i want to be sure that im going to buy the correct bits first time round.
as i understand i need a 2007 and a 2040?
i have been told there are two versions of the 2007?
also been told i need an amp? i think i have this, its located in the passenger footwell/door pilar area behind the carpet?
also all 4 speakers are missing, i assume these are the same as any mk5?

You could get an EsCos with a 2006, 2007, 2008 and with optional 2040 single cd-player or 10-cd exchanger.
The 2007 radio has an external amplifier. It's mounted behind the dash at the passenger side.
You've got 2 different type of speakers. The basic speakers 20w. dual-cone or the Highpower 2-way (with tweeter) speakers 50w.
If you want to have an 2007 with amplifier, you have to buy the highpower speakers.
I've got the 2007 with external amplifier, highpower speakers, and 10- cd exchanger (mounted in the boot) and the controlpanel is mounted under the radio.

are you going to the pod on Sunday? i may have time to dig out my old stereo (ones in pic) i have the radio, cd player, amp, 2 way rear speakers & the wire that connects the radio & cd.
or, if your really keen i have a brand new radio & cd!

Cd unit, radio/tape and 4 speakers. the ones mentioned with the extra tweeters to handle the massive power of the amp

im well chuffed, fingers crossed it all works.
what i do need tho is the cd to radio wire!!!! please please please.
still would like a pic of amp to i can tell if i have one or not, or if its something else in the car?
