right im trying to make a full photo black and white, ive managed that, and ive selected a section which i want to stay the original colour of the image, but i cant figure out how to do it

its one of our wedding photos, we want the full pic in black and white with the contrast of my white and red bouquet

can anyone help me?

You've probably greyscaled the image which is why you can't get any colour up, try desaturate. That way it you should be able to change the colours, or use the wand tool to select the part you want to keep in colour, inverse the selection and then desaturate... Hope this helps!

 

Easy...

Make 2 layers of the same Image.
Make the Top layer black and white and leave the bottom full colour.
Cut around part of image you want in colour on the black and white Image.
Merge Images together.
Job Done.

 

thanks, that sounds easy ill give it a go, do i just make a duplicate layer ?

and how do i adjust between the 2 layers?
