The 2 door was never "favoured" by the UK. Ford never saw a good market there..whereas in mainland Europe it was more of a hit.....hence they carried on making them through the range

here is my new white 3dr and my Xr4i mk2.
the white has broken handbrake and the shafts from det diff to the wheels ar snapt off.

Bored out and linered to take Omega 94mm pistons
Forged steel group A con rods
long stroke TVR cross drilled and tufrided crank giving 4.5 litres

Kent M238 mechanical cam with crane solid lifters

Tested by a magazine
0-60 mph 5.2 secs with not much grip from the goodyears
