My cossie is my only vice. The missus has a modded MK6 Fez too, so most our social time is spent at shows/meets etc which are relatively cheap.
There's no more blowing Ł100+ on a night out anymore, all my spare cash goes on the cars
Plus I'm now 28 and have a garage, so my insurance is a lot cheaper

only kiddin.......am self employed
aaarghhhhh...had ya all there. Im a parts salesman for Euro Car Parts. Helps a bit gettin discount on things like racks, alternators, brakes etc and doin a bit yerself....
Lots of trading up, nights in (new turbo or 4 big nights out...u decide!) compromise, working overtime, bonuses, buyin and sellin bits accrued over time.
If ya want it bad enough and try hard enough u WILL get there. I promised myself a cossie by the time i was 25. Bought it when i was 23. Iv just turned 27. Classic insurance helps the cause too!!

Im 19 currently run as s2 rs turbo 90 spec. Insurance is expensive but i have a garage and alarm, I live with my Parents, work 6 days a week as a apprentice technician for Mercedes.
To be honest i never go out. My wages go straight onto my car i don't ave a bird so i guess that helps

I bought my S2 Turbo when i was 18 and a student, living at home, working 2 days a week at a local garage
I got by, when it was broken it was off the road for a bit till i got the cash together to fix it, and repairing it myself where possible saved me a fortune!
I still managed to go out now and then but ive massively cut down the amount i go out and amount i drink over the last couple of years, which helps fund an expensive car hobby
Just bought a 2.5ltr BMW now, and somehow aquired a girlfriend which isnt easy on the pocket! and im still only working P/T having just graduated Its worth it though, some mates have no car but get smashed every weekend then get the bus/borrow a car when they need to, ive got a car all the time and go out as and when i can afford to or feel the need to
In conclusion - Make sacrafices, cut out smoking/drugs/drink, or keep it to a minimum at least! And understand how to manage what money you have, it aint easy but it essential if you want a good car!

I have a job that pays good money but I hate doing it but my cossie is only on the road for the summer months and hibernates during winter so that brings the insurance down for the year, also it is only really driven for meets, shows and excursions only I drive around in a 1.1 fiesta most of the time which is cheap as chips to run and insure and I don't give a toss what happens to it, I leave anywhere and people can put all the shopping trolleys they want into it, it don't matter

I just bought a Pulsar, Im 23 and in the Forces.. I bought it as Im coming out the RAF, and wanted a faster car.. But its just done its HG after 3 weeks of owning it
Gonna skint me out over the next month sorting it, as I need to do some other bits to it really... and I gotta pay the car tax (Ł180) and the rest of the Insurance (Ł200) off too
Once Im out in March, a new job is looking good, with a good wage and overtime
Time then for a pukka gearbox!

Cause I'm an old git at 36, we have a house, three kids and run 2 Mondeo ST200's that have been tweaked. Not your Cossie but the estate is sat at 243bhp which aint bad for a Mondeo.
We both work full time and whilst she smokes we are lucky if we see inside a pub once a month. But we both love the cars and hence we afford them.
