My modded Mk4 Escort!
Well this is my run about while the one in my siggy is done. It was bought from an old man who had the car from new, its done 32,000 miles from new and was only used to get to the shops and back!! I couldn't believe how good the car was when i saw it, even though the paint was flatter than flat! For £300 I was mighty chuffed! Few pics, and spec after:
Spec is as follows:
1989 Escort Bonus 2dr (1.1 with 4 spd box )
K&N filter
Ashley exhaust
lowered 70mm
strut brace
16" Mondeo Si wheels (last pic is with 17" RS alloys - belong to mate)
Clear indicators, smoked rears
tinted windows
Full 90 spec XR3i interior (seats, carpet, doortrims, dash, clocks)
three spoke steering wheel
tunes
cut down gear stick
COMING NEXT:
195/45/16 tyres!!
1600 cvh conversion
90 spec Recaro's (anyone??!)
poly bushes
e/w, c/l, e/m
smaller plates
RST brakes
As I said, its my run about while the blue car is done, but I'm keeping hold of this one! When i replaced the carpet, the floor was as shiny as the outside and the boot-floor is like a show car!
Cheers for lookin!

7 spokers were just on for a piccy, they were a bit wide at 7.5" wide but i couldn't resist a few photo's - the GTi/Si 16 inch wheels are me usual wheels.

Cheers for all the compliments. Only thing with it is, I reckon the old guy tried a bit of home repair with the battery tray using the stuff that you put on the roof of a shed and expanding foam, so when I investigated, the tray fell to bits! Thats why there isn't any pix of under the bonnet but, when the one in my siggy is finished, this one will get a mini resto to make it super clean!
Great wee motor though, i'm thinkin of buying a rough turbo and swapping the running gear into her, be interesting to say the least!

Cheers mate - my very first car was a silver 2dr but not nearly as clean as this one, think it was a fit of nostalgia that made me buy it!
