Default Digital Camcorder ... Advice

I am looking for a Digital Camcorder for my daugthers b'day but have no idea what to look for, and have spent 1/2 of today on the web looking!

I want to spend £200-300 but don't know what format, make, etc

HELP

i dont know the age of your daughter... but nevertheless..
there are sony camcorders which only cost like 100/150 max... which are good enough to film anything you want..
It maybe not that good in dark enviroments.. but hee..
look for this DCR-HC37E on the web...
And I think your daughter will be very happy..
