My mate bought this car a month a go minus the engine, he is the middle of refitting his own cosworth engine to it ,believe it or not it uses a cvh flywheel and runs through a rs turbo box!

whats he done to the flywheel then as the rs is 6 bolt and the cossie is 9 unless he's fitted a pinto crank into it which is 6 bolt, also how much of the drivers side inner wing has he cut out to get the water pump etc to clear as im doing this conversion myself

Yes he discovered about the bolt holes when he want to put the flywheel on to his cossie engine, But 6 of the holes lined up so he just used those i told him to looked a bit shady! The engine is now in the car he is just sorting out the pipework and Wireing

i have always thought of doing this. Although there is a bit of messing around to actually get it in the bay,it still makes much more sense tha zetec turbo. The COSWORTH YB is the ultimate engine which is easy to get big bhp and is reliable. They dont even breathe at 270bhp. Absoloutely stunning.

Saw this car in the flesh, the guy lives not far from me, very very tight! no room for further mods ie turbo, inlet.
Front wheel drive with big bhp is a problem tho, i would personally rather have a c20let nova or corsa for fwd fun.
Respect to the guy for doing it tho.
