Default smokey turbo!

hi guys!

im looking for some tips and ifo please if possible??
my mate just baught a g reg s2 rs turbo the other day
it has 140k on the clock with a good service history
and loads of reciepts.
its had a recon turbo fitted for less than a week and the guy he
baught it from had repaired an oil pipe that comes from the bottom
of the turbo and back onto the engine as it was leaking?
is this an oil return pipe? its only 2-3" long and its rubber.
it seemed to be running ok but there was still a lot ofoil lying on top of
the starter motor, but 2day he took it for a run and it began to smoke really bad, so he stopped the car after getting a fright and let it cool down
and after that it seemed fine untill the car warmed up again and started smoking when the car was sitting still at junctions???

can anyone please shed some light on a problem, or if its a big repair job or i think that the oil is leaking into the exhaust manifold and burning???

thanks for any info at all!!!
