A mate has one of the older Starlet GT's .... also a 1.3 16v Turbo, and my god that thing shifts.
Isn't Glanza the name of the imported versions ?
I do prefer the smoother shapped ones.

no, the GTs are imported too. all the gt's and glanzas are imported, there are no uk models.
the gt runs upto 1995 plate and the glanza starts from 1996 - 1999

i love starlets fair play! i really wanted 1 but i went for my rs turbo though in the end cuz of parts availability. it seemed parts to tune the car were fairly easy to get hold from ppl like fensport etc, but nothin else....duno if this is the case still or ever was, cud have just been me??
very nice tho, god do those things f...kin shift! surprisngly quite cheap to insure aswell, less than my rs turbo!

My missus was after one of these before buying her clio 16v. Insurance was going to be a bit high, because as you say, they are all imports. That was '03 and I don't think insurance mind as much now as there are hundreds of imports about nowadays.
She saw this one on a site ( http://www.wrc-sales.co.uk/showroom/ )the other day and was tempted again....very goof TRD spec on it and looks cool.
Yours looks very good Mrs Mike. Nice front mount
