The labatts car is a rouse , not an EGMO

Indeed, from what I remember Martin rebuild that Thundersaloon from this:

Name: Picture613.jpg
Views: 284
Size: 59.8 KB

To this:

And then back to original BTCC spec.

And he also build this Goode car from this:

Name: Picture518.jpg
Views: 405
Size: 59.0 KB

To this:

Name: Picture236.jpg
Views: 335
Size: 55.1 KB

Besides these he also had the Harvey Labatts car, Moffat ANZ car and one of the Eggenberger cars.

[edit] I believe this was the Eggerberger car before the rebuild:

this car wasnt eggenburger, think u are geting confused. its a andy rouse built car as both this, bristow and the harvy car was built by andy. think this 1 stayed in a lock up befor being painter in labbats culors again.

Jerry Mahoney mentioned recently that the Bristow car in thundersaloon guise was the best handling and most powerful cosworth he ever drove, but I think it will be nice to see it back as a btcc car again

Love these so much, it's nice to see that a few are still around. Was never too keen on the Thundersaloon look. A nice BTCC RS500 would do me nicely!

Wasn't the Labatt's Thundersaloon one the car that was used on the Top Gear BTCC feature a while back?

I saw someone mention the escat was a mk2 escort when infact it was an xj220 engine/running gear in an escort cosworth shell..

I'm not sure if that got smashed up in the end, I did hear it wasn't very reliable as well.

In the DVD I have of mine there is a Saph which has the same livery, from memory its the same driver too, that would of been 1993 though so not sure if that was before or after the Escort, I'll assume before

Derek Tyndall was the man responsible for the escat after his xj220 powered hill climb car got banned for beating everything that was going so he ripped it apart and threw it into the escos shell, so the story goes.

Was putting out over 800bhp at the time it was racing at combe in the special gt series, i heard he ripped the driveline out and went about building a home built 2 seater sports car effort but nothing has ever come of it and i think the project was scrapped.
