i brought this car in june 2004 after always wanting a rep as a real one was out of the question at my age and the fact i couldnt afford 15k so the rep was the way to go and i struck it lucky by finding this on ebay , it had just been listed and couldnt belive it when it was all a all metal panels with reciept for a new shell all the panels lights trims wheels etc from ford but was in a bit of a state when i took delivery :bigcry: it was in need of a respray wheel refurb and in need of a set of tyres , brought it on a saturday and by sunday it was strippded ready for prepping
I didnt do too much to it over the next year untill it came off the road for the engine work , just little things like escort coswoth interior quad lights and lowered it 30 mm a year later and i decided i needed more power so i was on the hunt for a turbo engine and i found another damaged cosworth rep for sale for 1k with a leather interior and a rs2k turbo engine in - great i thought untill we got it home and fitted to find the engine was still runing std management and std compresion so wasnt much cop in my eyes so that went in then soon came out again and was sold off to finance a zvh new build so i knew it would be up to the job and capable for my requirements

back out again
and ordered a 2lt zvh bottom end low com and capable of running around 25 psi more than enuf for me and then that went in one weekend along with the mtx75 gearbox and new clutch

and then over the next few months i collected the bits needed head turbo mettering unit etc and added the as i got them , trying to keep it all neat and tidy with as much of the parts either new , cleaned or ploished up

then i must admit i got a bit side tracked and started to mod other things when i should have consentrated on the engine stuff like mk6 small turbo mirrors another interior ( from a 30k car this time with all the door and quarter trims etc) cosworth dash clocks bannana pod twin pillar pod guages smoke front indicators and smoked rear lights 285 mm front brakes and a few other bits lol

by now it was summer 2006 and it was dragging on so i found a brand new turbo for the car because i wasnt happy with the one already on there that was fitted along with a few other bits and we finaly got the car running after finding that the meetering unit was knackered lucky enuf i had a spare and we fitted that and it jumped into life and ticking over at about 3k due to a air leak on the throttle body , that was sorted and now runs sweet with nice throttle response with the lightened and balanced flywheel :0822: ive missed loads out but thats the general idea of how my time was spent on it , i did have times when i could be bothered with it all and didnt touch it some nights or weekends but you need a break now and then from it all and heres how she looks now all in one peice and ready to be se up in the next 2 weeks all being well
