Recent shots of my Zetec Turbo Mk3 Fiesta
I gave the car a good cleaning over the last 2-3 days. Still have the wheels arches, engine bay and interior to do, but as it was a nice day and the car was looking better than it has for quite some time (usually just gets hammered down the roads and stuffed away again after a quick wash) I thought I'd capture it
This camera is extremely good at showing the red of my car usually, but in certain light conditions (pretty much all the shots today!! ) it can make the car look quite orangey...this one would've been quite nice if it hadn't come out orange!!
Original filler cap area still going strong
Needless to say the drive home was a lot more fun than the drive there, when I was trying not to brake and get dust everywhere!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone
c.h.r.i.s - The road's up here in Cumbria, about 20 miles North of Kendal. They're incredible roads - as shown in these two vids I made last week! (You may need a codec package to view them: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...k_All_in_1.htm )

BillyCabrio - The cleaning probably did make it quicker, there were at least 10kg of squashed flies on the bumper, bonnet and windscreen! It's as quick as it needs to be on the move - shifting at speed through the lower two gears is as it was at Brunters, so I think I'll have to buy myself an uprated release bearing to work with the paddle clutch

Cheers boys!
ben22 - I'm using a Radtec intercooler made to my dimensions. You'll have to chop the bumper for pretty much any front-mount intercooler, there isn't enough room otherwise. I was just being picky because I didn't want the cooler to protrude past the top of the bumper. The result is that the bumper slots in over the top of the intercooler very snug, so no air leaks round it and I retain fairly standard looks

Dan - Yep, it's a 1.8 ZT in fairly basic form. Standard rods and pistons, decompression plate and 14psi of boost. It's been nothing but rock solid since I bolted it in and have done well over 5,000 miles in it, of which very few have been easy-going! The only engine-related problem has been the weld fracturing on the small pin that the actuator rod connects to. Turbo Technics welded a new one on, bolted it all back on and that was that! It's been a pleasure to drive from day one
