Default 450bhp twin turbo Focus 2.3 Duratec - Pics

Saw the car in this months Max Power by a company in the States called F2 Focus Performance

Supposed to be 450bhp.

Its a peice of engineering brilliance but not really needed for a 450bhp setup.

Single turbo would be more than adequate IMHO.

Pics can be found here:

Post them up if you can as I cannot get them to upload to my photobucket account.

Looks like a sequential turbo set up, so although the maximum power isnt that impressive, i expect its got a very broad torque distribution!
Lots of weight though and lots of aquard pipework in that enginebay!
A very good effort though!, shame it doesnt look like its driven as it should be...

Incredible piece of kit, but agree with Austin, I bet you can get almost identical powerband for a whole lot less cash with a plain well chosen single.

Fair play though, thats the tits

Cool installation there! Did any of you see Owen Developments' quad-turbo Evo engine at this year's Autosport International show? Here are some of my snaps:

Theres a LOT more powerful FWD cars than that mate.

Not as useable as RWD or 4wd, but not unusable.

Have you any experience of this?

It's hardly off topic Austen. We're talking about a 450bhp FWD Focus - high power and FWD! I say a car only has enough power to say "right, no more" when it's capable of spinning its wheels in every gear. If it's not capable of spinning the wheels in any gear, there's more to come from it. I always said 250bhp was the limit for FWD Fiestas till I slapped my 230bhp ZT in mine, and would happily put 300+ in it now.
