Hey guys,

Took some pics of mine and Neil's car today at a local village rec.

They can all be found here:

Here are some of my favourites

Sorry about the number of pics - got a bit carried away like Rawli does!

Cheers,

Thanks guys - did any of you see it at Ford Fair?

I was on the fiestaturbo.com stand but we got positioned in a really crumby place next to the RS2000-16v.com stand behind some fencing (so anybody who didn't look really hard missed us out! ).

The suspension on the front was way too low and I raised it yesterday and fiddled with damper settings to get it to stop rubbing!

I'm really liking the look of the car although Escort Cossie rims are very very difficult to fit without causing any rubbing!

Cheers,

Andy

No, I completely didn't see the stand
I was at Northampton on saturdaynight, there were a couple of fezzyboys

I sure wanted to see your Fiesta m8, now have to wait till next year. Or maybe Traxx, as I might be going there.

The engine block's 5mm taller than the standard one and I didn't want to drop the sump closer to the ground by lowering it on the engine mounts. So I decided to have the bonnet raised at the back (and at the front slightly) to stop it from touching.

It also helps in letting hot air escape from the engine bay when you're going along!

Andy

Saw a FRST just like this going towards heathrow on the southbound of the M25 early hours of sunday morning. Both cars look good my mate had a XR2i with cossie rims he had a real hard time gettin them on bet you must have gone through some hard times gettin them on.

It may well have been me (I was on my way to Ford Fair) - I was on the M25 going clockwise - I was overtaken by a group of Sapphire Cossies around Heathrow who I reckon were also on their way to Ford Fair.

I'm still working on setting the suspension to minimise rubbing but it's going to take some time and probably a bit more cutting of the front and back bumpers!

Cheers,

Andy

Yep there were roadworks goin on and those cossies just flew past us and sounded nice too. Your car is real head turner just commented to my other half when i saw your car that my mate had one just like it. Pictures dont justify how good it really looks. Those cossies looked awesome with the best one being the last one which was like a very dark grey colour. We hardly got noticed in a st170 but maybe bigger rims would have done the trick.

Thanks for the comments guys - the car was pretty dirty at Ford Fair as I arrived late (damn alarm clock - sure I set it for 5am! )

I've raised the suspension up a bit but have still got some tweaking to do to get it just right - it's on it's hardest setting which is great for cornering (although it picks the rear inside wheel up when cornering hard now ) but could do with it raised a bit front and back and softened off a tad to soak bumps a bit better!

I'm now starting to notice the inevitable stone chips

Thankfully the bodyshop used a nice grey primer which isnt' far off the merc grey paint anyway so they don't stick out like a saw thumb!

I think I'm turning a bit bufty now - cleaned the car every day since I got it back!

Cheers,

Andy
