That was shown on a Rally Special program on Motors TV on Sky about 8 weeks back now, was a truely brilliant program with some stunning history, information and of course the best footage!
Crash was in spain IIRC, both people died and obviously the RS200 was no more, yes it was genuine... R.I.P

Fucking hell at all the people saying the car was genuine.
At the end of the day its a piece of metal well fibreglass in this case but whats a car compared to human lives.
Would you have liked group b to go on at the forefit of more drivers lives?

it was not two people killed in that crash as some have said, the vid is from hessen rally 31st may 1986. michel wyder the co driver was killed! the driver marc surer recived serius injuris and burns but made a good recovery ! R.I.P

i think this crash with toivonen's were the reason that Gr.B was banned...
Driving 600+ bhp with the electronics and the technology existed back then didn't leave much room for driver errors...

Driver was Marc Surer (SUI) and he survived the incident. He's commenting the sport for a race channel now in those days. His co-driver died unfortunetly. It was during the 1986 Hessen Rally.
