i got the message yesterday that there was a mobile version of pf, so i clicked it

and then it's broken and i can't get it on the phone any more

so i don't even know if there is an option to turn it off either

anyone got any ideas?

 

Delete all cookies etc and temp files from your phone.

I decided to go on the mobile version too last night and I got the Guru error.

 

how do i do that then?

 

I have opted out of the mobile version, it will be great for slower speed users but for the iPhone generation it's just as quick doing it the normal way.

That said I'm glad there is a version

What phone are you using and having difficulty with?

I am not having any issue with the mobile version and my iPhone.

 

i went to the mobile version the other day and it seemed fine for about 5 minutes

then it stopped working and went that guru meditation thing

and no matter what i tried it wouldn't go away

clearing the cookies etc put me back onto the normal site with the option to go mobile, which i declined

iphone 3gs

one more thing, this morning, pf was giving me the "cannot connect to database" error and i thought my connection had gone, but when i went to the bbc site it was fine and when i went back it was still there

only a few minutes later it was fine but running very slowly and now it's fine

this was on the home computer here

on my other computer at the other house, i thought it was an issue with the computer, but the quoting didn't work and everything came out in one paragraph, no smilies, no multi quoting or anything, between the hours of 6 and 7 pm uk time

it all seems fine now but i do tend to spend more time on my mobile here than on the computer some days so i'm glad you are looking into it

hey dojj, this morning we were probably doing our weekly backups on the site, which is why there were issues.

AS to why you can't connect to the mobile site now, I've no idea. It works flawlessly from here on my iPhone4, and my 3GS

i've been on the mobile doing pf this afternoon but have simply switched back to the original non mobile version

the mobile version did make things much simpler and i thought it was worthwhile to give it a go, pity it seems to not be working

And now I'm posting on the phone and it's fine too, but when it prongs mento go mobile I get that message, clearing everything again gives me the same option and if I say no then it's fine

ok, i'm hooked up to the wireless and not the 3gs and it's the same

 

I have experienced the same problem previously. Appears to be somewhat intermittent.

Not something I have tried for a week or so though as I'd rather not use the mobile version I prefer the full version.

 

mobile site works fine for me but on my normal PC every now and then I get the mobile version !!

 

Didn't know there was a mobile site, just tried it on my X6, and loaded first time

Id been using the normal site on my phone, but the mobile site looks loads better!

 

I got that when i logged in this evening for the first time.

Looked VERY strange!

 

When the page refreshes on the mobile version, sometimes it says I am logged in as other users until I refresh again. This has happened quite a few times lately

 

well ive just tried it on my iphone 3gs and ive got wifi connected and i get:

I reloaded the page a few times went away and came back even tried turning it on and off and it diesnt work.

 

I get the mobile site on my nokia, and seemingly no way to get to the full site to view images etc (which is annoying)

Had this come up on the wife's iphone yesterday, do I want to go to the mobile site. So clicked yes and all I got as an error message....
