I can admin a windows server via RDP on the train, but cannot fucking load a page on here with my 3g laptop on the move.

 

been like it for a while now, would have expected more from IB really...

 

Snail slow !!!

I have done some basic tests.....

The server is in america - More IP hops = Slower connection.
Average 480 millisecond per packet average.
This doesnt include the server response times
Pinging of BBC.co.uk gives us 10 times quicker connection @ 48 milliseconds average
(This server is in england)


Scoobynet IP and Passionford IP address are the same 67.201.17.106
Whilst this may not be a speed issue in itself, you have at least 2 very busy websites being served through the same portal and it is likely there is sharing of servers, routers and/or database connections.
I havent checked if any other of the many IB sites are the same.



I wont mention the search engine bots that have been given free access or the huge amount of adverts or the duplication of adverts on the same page

Its been un useable for me as well total joke they moan when you dont put it in the right room but when its in there you get a answer saying they have took note of the problem! Its not as if the site isnt making money its full of shit ads

Even since my first post on this thread it's got miles worse. It's sooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow to load the pages.

 

Unuseable for me, slows my machine down and starts hammering my memory useage......as soon as i disconnect from pf its fine, and fine on other sites/forums.

Its a damn site quicker on my iphone than my laptop......there seems to be something sinister going on, too much stuff embedded in the pages to do with adverts and tracking no doubt

 

Scoobynet is just as slow.... !!

 

not as big a problem for me, but i have noticed that on occasions it tends to load one post section at a time on some threads

I've noticed it's got slower through the day , so as more people come on here and scoobynet its slowing this right down , wind the fucker back up !!

 

i emailed the PM on this earlier his reply was:

Slow as hell for me aswell , im also on 6speedonline just now another IB site and it has not had any speed problems.

 

It's useless. Using my iPhone is quicker on here than my laptop. (I think someone else said that too)

There was a post on 6 speed a few months ago showing IB's average price they pay for a site , and also there profits for the last few years. Trust me the owner wont need to sell any yacht.

For me I find its brilliant through the course of the day but from 5pm-11pm its really slow, most likely to do with the pure amounts of people online at once...
