bttt for a review,
i dont think i did anything wrong to get a infraction,i also am of the opinion that the problems are being caused by having a trader as a mod.
so can i sell left over parts from my escort ? or am i banned from selling on this site for some reason?

90 % of people who have replied to this thread dont think i have done anything wrong either,?

Alan, surely everyone knows you are in the motor trade, do have a workshop and in fact are one of my installers! Of course you are classed as a trader.

I can see your point about it being left over stuff mate but trade is trade, you better off just leaving it on ebay pal unless you can justify 6 months trading price on here.

 

I have just picked up on this,can you please tell me why having a trader as a mod is a problem ???

as the rules apply to everybody.

 

a trader moderating in the sale forums will allways have a conflict of interest.
as far as iam aware ,you pete are the only mod/trader.

 

you obviously do not take much attention I have only just rejoined as a trader on this site having nearly 1 year off,
go take another closer loo my friend and see how many traders are mods,then come back and tell me
being a trader and a mods makes no difference what so ever,in fact it makes the site run better
rules are rules for everyone,trader or not

but totally ignore the fact that the thread starter is a non paying trader.
i suppose this was a genuine oversight?.and not a case of who is a mate.

 

an over sight on whos part mate ?? the mods are not super human,it does take time to catch out the non paying traders like yourseld BUT they will all be caught eventually,we have a good mod team and now members are able to report posts direct to the team we then can take a good long look which does take time,time is needed to amke sure the correct action is taken

Shouldn't have taken three pages mate. Had you admitted it from the start i think this thread would have been very different, instead its been slagging off me and my policies for all this time which is disappointing.

selling some parts left over from a project is not trading. i dont earn a living by breaking cars,and i have no intention of starting to break cars for profit.
if you say that makes me a trader still,then i have to accept that,
doesnt mean i agree with it,or that it is the correct decision.just that its your rule ,and i have to go along with it.
iam sorry that you feel disapointed,and slagged off. but opinions vary,as most on the 3 pages agree with me,and it only got to 3 pages because i could not get a reply from the mod who gave me the infraction.

 

without starting all this up again,I have persoanlly taken a look thorugh your e bay account at what you have sold,and it isnt left over parts mate,multipul items being sold time after time
mate just face it you have been caught out

 

maybe you should ask before making judgements,the only thing sold more than once was some steering rack bushes ? that i took in part payment for the zoo rear beam i sold,and the person from this site ,part exchanged them.

If you had started this topic saying you DID get a Pm and would liek further explanation and also explained that you are a garage in the Ford Scene and are in fact a trader on other ford forums, you may have got a slightly different responce.

The fact is, you know who gave the infraction and could have PM'd him instead of making this big fuss about it.

not quite correct. i sent a pm ,got no answer ,and i still have not recived a answer from the mod,adrian,
then started the thread.i needed to know what i had done wrong,and if i was allowed to sell the parts i had,
if you read the thread,the only person to answer the question was yourself ,today.

 

You have, on post 31 of this therad. And he explained he was on holiday.

 

this could go back and forwards for ages,
post 32 covers the accusation on post 31,

i dont think we are going to sort this out ,as opinions vary,i feel i did no wrong,tried to sell some private car parts i had.
if you say iam not allowed to do this,then thats the end of it. iam sure i can find something more productive to do with my time.thanks.

 

If you read my quote Alan, I was simply referring to your suggestion that you "Got no reply". I was pointing out that you did. It was on post 31.

Post 32 suggest you are not in the auto trade. We have already agreed that you are mate. If Martin Hadland of Reyland had an ebay shop but didn't register it as a business one, would that mean it was ok for him to sell all his wheels on here for free? I'm sure you agree the answer is no.

I know this doesn't sit nicely with you Alan and it feels awkward as we do business together outside of PF but the fact is once you become self employed in the auto industry, as far as PF is concerned, you are a trader. Sorry.

Why i ask is by the tone of the reply you seam embarrassed by your reply.

But it is you who makes up the rules,but i supposed it has always been the same on here you want your cut of the deal

 

If you want to trade on this site you will pay to do so. Simple as that and I am certainly not embarassed by that, in fact I am proud of what I have created.

The awkwardness is created by the fact offsite Alan Lloyd of Lloyd Motorsport and I do plenty of business so its a little unfortunate I have had to get involved in this but hey, thats my job i guess.

 

i dont see whats awkward about it. off site is business,
on pf is just fun for me,
even if you ban me from here, it shouldnt affect our dealings in the real world.

 

Good. I felt slightly awkward having to tell you the mods were right after pages of you complaining they were wrong. I am glad your not bothered anyway.
