Seems you had "Spec R rep" in your siggy and as a rep for a company you are not allowed to trade on PF so I can see why it was removed,, however, i recall from the past that that isnt actually the case?

 

are members not allowed to mention theyre favoured tuners/products etc in their sigs anymore? i thought as long as you didnt work for them or were directly involved with them or in the trade it was allowed?

 

Fuzzy. I have explained why I had removed it, Stu is also looking into this.
I see it as User mentioned being Spec R Rep in Signature so I acted upon that information.

IF it turns out other wise I have stated in the mods room I will eat my own hair and make an apology.

 

I don't see that as the case fuzzy... If someone has 'company name' rep in their sig and avatar...and was putting something for sale...then of would only be a matter of time before a paid up trader complained.

Someone may have been over zealous with removing it but it is best to be safe rather than sorry.

 

i wasnt getting involved in this case i was just asking as a general question .i didnt know he was a rep for the company in question so i see the connection now.

 

did i forgot that maybe i shouldnt have put that as it was a light harted joke people who no me deffo no im not a rep but am one of the few people who can get hold of pete. i just think its gone a bit to far i only wanted to let people know on here that spec r is back and dont have to chase me for bits. many other people have company names in thier siggy etc. sorry for being a rule breaker

You haven't broken any rules it seems James, as I understand it from what your saying, your just a customer/friend of the owner and have mentioned he is back in business, which is fine, I think the mod has simply misunderstood the quote in your sig (Understandable). If you can confirm this is correct we will pop the topic right back where it was pal.

I know both James and Pete and can confirm what James says is absolutely correct.

James is not a "sales rep" for Spec-r he just buys a lot of spec-r stuff and shows his car on the stand lol

That said and as per Stu's agreement above i am going to reinstate the thread as Pete is a good guy and its great to know he is up and running again...
