Phil knew the rules well and truely and broke them again and again and again to get a life ban, I dont see how the mods have any choice at all but to uphold the ban as otherwise it just makes a mockery of having bans in the first place.

As a paying member of this site I'd like to propose that all paying members should be able to have a vote as to whether or not to allow him back on.

Infact I think an individual vote on all banned members would be good.

 

Perhaps you sould have paid to join a site where all decisions are voted on rather than one like this where it clearly states that there are rules in place

The point of being banned, is you arent allowed to use the site anymore, its not you arent allowed to use it to misbehave, its that your actions have broken the rules so many times that you have lost your priveledge to use the site as a result.

Phil was WELL aware of the rules that he broke again and again and what the consequences would be.

I agree totally, its very over the top but then so was the extent to which Phil continually broke the rules.

At the end of the day, unmoderated forums just turn into a total free for all and moderated forums have rules and involve bans in extreme cases.

 

The only people it bothers as to whether he's on here or not are the one's that get wound up by him.

Thats clearly not true as I dont get wound up by him, I actually quite enjoy some of his posts, my only objection for allowing him back is that it then gives everyone carte blanche to do as they please, he was given mutliple short term bans, and failed to learn form them, so the site had no alternative but to give him a permenant one IMHO

That was Phil too wasnt it?
He was just splitting his posts between trotter making the reasonable posts, and RS2.7 making the usual troll posts that he does, he was still using the forum for all the same bollocks he always does, just via two seperate accounts.

I think its a ridiculous situation if you are allowed to have 2 accounts, and break the rules from one and not the other and only the one account get banned, its the person at fault irrelevant of if they log out and log back in under a different name to do their trolling.


Thats my understanding of it anyway, but someone feel free to correct me if Ive heard wrongly over them both being Phil.

I got banned for insulting a bird who joined up who I thought was ASW'ing but I never said anything even vaguely along those lines to her, what you are referring to I said to Rachel, it was just banter and her reply to it was "I love you chip" as she took it as banter as it was intended

What I actually said was something along the lines of I was going to bend her over in a nightclub gents and shag up up the arse while stuffing her head in a urinal.
The rules back then were totally different of course though, and nowhere near as strictly enforced as they are now, these days I would keep banter like that between me and my mates off the forum as it would result in a ban these days as innappropriate content,

The fact that Phil used to stalk me on here and was banned for it a few times, I dont think effects wether or not I can have an opinion on banned users, my replies would be no different if it was about dave escos, who I never really had any interaction with on here or any other banned user.

You weren't just giving your opinion, you were saying Phil has been banned because of a,b or c... It LOOKS like YOU are TELLING people why Phil has been banned, which INFERS you have had a say in his ban.... See what I'm saying?

 

Id quite like to see him back if he was behaving like Trotter did as it happens, but I see it as a problem for the mods in future to enforce the rules if everyone knows that you can just ignore a ban and keep signing up till they give up andlet you back on when a few of your mates on here moan about it.
