Two questions....Deleted topic and No topic notifications

Any ideas why my "perspex windows" thread was deleted ??
It was an ebay ad..but not mine. FAO Gus or Wenny or anyone interested, last posted on by me this morn around 0930-ish in GD.
Got a reply email, but the thread has been deleted. It's definately gone as it doesn't show if I click all my posts.

No topic notifications
Not receiving the full compliment of topic notification emails. I get some, but then there are other threads I don't get any for.
"Instant Notification" is selected in my profile btw.
